Soundmetro allows both unsigned and signed artists on our site. Soundmetro's goal is to get as many people viewing your music as possible. And if signed artists help draw the masses, then the more signed artists we have the greater
your public exposer will be.

Soundmetro only allows MP3 Files to be uploaded at this time.

Soundmetro has a strict policy reguarding copyrighted material. By uploading your material, you automatically agree
to our site "Terms and Conditions". You are only allowed to upload material where you are the copyright holder,
or where you have the written consent from the copyright holder.

Once you have created an Artist account on Soundmetro, you can simply upload your files through your User Control Pannel by clicking on "Create A Song" and it will automatically be uploaded to your Artist Page. We also offer a thing called "MP3 Slurp" for Artists with a large amount of files stored on another website that can grab all your files at
once at server to server transfer speed (Opperated By Admins Only).
And for those Artists with the Special Soundmetro Artist Website we have FTP access for uploads as well.

Soundmetro does not have any limit on the number of songs you can upload into the account you signed up for. Your only limitation would be on the amount of space for that account.

Absolutely!, Its your music and you keep all rights to your music at all times on Soundmetro.
The No Bull Bottom Line is this.............
By uploading your music to our site we need you to grant us certain permissions to your music in order to be able to
run this site properly, help promote you and your music and our site, upload and download your music, display your music, stream your music, offer your music in compilations for submittals and so on...
Thus requiring us to protect you and ourselves with all the legal stuff that we have to post for your viewing pleasure.

MP3 Files can be created using many different programs on the market. Almost all of those programs allow you to save your files in the MP3 format for upload to websites. And although Soundmetro does not endorse any certain program to use creating your MP3 files, You can find free copies of such programs at..... "Musicmatch" and "dBpowerAMP"

Most all the programs that can create MP3's can also convert MP3's. And although Soundmetro does not endorse any certain program "dBpowerAMP" seems to convert a large array of different formats to the MP3 Format.

At this time Soundmetro offers two different plans that allow you to sell your music (Royalty Free) from our site by providing you with "Store" abilities as part of your account. See this page for details......UPGRADES/ADD-ONS

When you upload your music to Soundmetro, you have the option in your "Member Control Pannel" to set your music
for downloading or streaming or both. If you want people to hear your music but not to download it, then you simply
set it that way in your "Member Control Pannel". But if you want to get people back to your member page,
we sugest that you have at least one song that you allow for downloading.

When you create an account at Soundmetro you are given a User Control Pannel. Within that User Control Pannel you have the ability to upload your music and photos. When you upload your music, Soundmetro automatically sets it up to be streamed from your account for you. All you have to do is just upload it.

You can download songs from any Artist or Band that allows their songs to be downloaded. All music setup for downloading will have a "Download Button" next to it.

The Soundmetro Music Charts are a way for our members to see how popular their music is with the masses by tracking how many times that music has been played or downloaded by the Soundmetro members and the General Public.
Soundmetro offers several different types of Charts. The three Main Charts are site wide charts and can be accessed
from our front page (Daily Top 40) (Top Site Artists) (Top Site Songs). Those charts are special because they display
the most popular songs and artists from all of Soundmetro's 162 Genres site wide in one chart. We also have our
Sub-Charts that display the most popular music by the specific genre the song belongs too and they can be accessed
by simply visiting the genre that you want to see the ranking in. All charts are ranked by popularity,
meaning "How many times the song has been played and downloaded".

Your music is added automatically to the (Daily Top 40) and the (Sub-Genre) Charts.
But to make it in the (Top Site Artists) or (Top Site Songs) Charts
You must have one of our UPGRADE/ADD-ONS

The numbers you see on your band statistics page are total plays. But the charts only compile unique plays.
Example: someone listens to your song 10 times in a row. On your band statistics you'll see all 10 plays, but for the charts only the first play is counted. The other plays are no longer 'unique' for that day.

You can vote once a day for any song. If you vote more than once, only the first vote count in the charts.

All of Soundmetro's Charts are updated daily and all music is rated by a combination of unique streams and downloads.

Soundmetro has several different areas throughout our site that rotate our upgraded members profiles to help
give them more exposure. These areas are free and will automatically rotate through our member base giving all
our upgraded members a chance at those spots.
