Coming from Slovakia, South London and Ireland, InBetweenDAYS' expansive sound mirrors thier diverse background and range of influences.
Dali (Guitar) played conservetory classical guitar, rock and funk with Miro (Drums) who also plays jazz during their mandatory service for the Slovakian Army and over the following years.
Gerry (bass) plays solid rock and roll bass - programming beats with side projects and Simba's (lead vox and guitar) love of the Americana and grunge of the nineties and exuberance of the Brit-pop era combines with the passion for music that holds the group together to create the melodic, lush and energetic music that defines InBetweenDAYS.
Their music takes in the long running ethcis of rock and roll - a solid rhythm section, fluid guitars and a loud show! With varied artists such as Lemonheads, Ash, REM, The Longpigs, Joni Mitchell, Teenage Fanclub, Smashing Pumpkins, Counting Crows and Weezer having been absored and loved by main singer-songwriter Simba (Edward White often contributes lyrics), songs - good songs with melody, feeling, development and a distinctive idiosyncratic sound - are the backbone of I.D's existance as a group. Combine that with a desire to become known as one of the best live bands around (I.D are now recording all studio sessions live) and you get us; InBetweenDAYS...'your' band for a long time to come. |
